A Semantic Description For Agent Design Patterns
نویسندگان
چکیده
In last years, multi-agent systems (MAS) have achieved a remarkable success and diffusion in employment for distributed and complex applications. A fundamental contribution has come by the adoption of reuse techniques and tools providing a strong support during the design phase. Even though design patterns have been widely accepted by industrial and academic organizations as a proper technique for reuse, their definition still imposes deep concerns on contemporary software engineers. Design patterns are largely sensitive to different contexts where they are employed, especially on how they are blended with each other. This work introduces a design language for describing fine-grained pattern formalizations and compositions based on structural semantics. This formalization as been used in order to describe a couple of design patterns for agents and their composition.

A Context-aware Architecture for Mental Model Sharing through Semantic Movement in Intelligent Agents
Recent studies in multi-agent systems are paying increasingly more attention to the paradigm of designing intelligent agents with human inspired concepts. One of the main cognitive concepts driving the core of many recent approaches in multi agent systems is shared mental models. In this paper, we propose an architecture for sharing mental models based on a new concept called semantic movement....

متن کاملSemantic Enhancement of a Web Service Integration Gateway∗
This paper reports on a technology enabling bidirectional semantic interoperability between FIPA compliant agents and Web services, using OWL-S as a common service description language. This is an an extension of previously reported work consisting of a gateway for WSDL encoded Web service descriptions. This paper reports on the enhanced model, a semantic integration gateway, its architecture a...
متن کاملA Contrastive Analysis of Persian and English Compliment, Request, and Invitation Patterns within the Semantic Metalanguage Framework
Speech acts shape the core of pragmatic competence and their mastery is a prerequisite for successful dis- course encounters in an L2. Cross-cultural comparisons, as claimed by Johnstone (2018), are very effec- tive for knowing and acquiring the speech acts. Accordingly, the purpose of this study was to compare a limited number of communicative routines in English and Persian within the f...
متن کاملA Formal Description Language for Multi-Agent Architectures
Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) constitute a highly promising software architectural approach for modern application domains such as peer-to-peer and ubiquitous computing, information retrieval, semantic web services or ebusiness. Unfortunately, despite considerable work in software architecture during the last decade, few research efforts have aimed at truly defining languages for designing such arc...
